Aquaponics Grow Beds

The aquaponics grow bed material must be light resistant as too much light could cause algae to reproduce within the grow media and essentially steal the nutrients from the plants. The pad from the bed has to be free of toxins and heavy metals that could break down and modify the pH balance of one's water. And, of course, the container must be waterproof. The most frequent materials used are plastic, wood, and fiberglass. But concrete could also be used If it is water tight and sealed properly. However, if weight is a problem, it’s often advisable to keep use lighter materials. Rubberized epoxy and liners prove useful for ensuring the types of materials remain secure.
